That makes some sense, as to how things go wrong with an early fast terrible storm.

Here in corn bean country, pastures are 10 acres for the herd, while out there can have double that for just one pair. It is so different, it is nice to understand what the issues and concerns and conditions are.

At 10 below, my cattle hang around the barn, which is below the hill and the grove, with a barn stall to get in for a bit. This shelters them. Pretty much an option for them year around, because of the smaller scale around here. We don't have a winter pasture, as the snow gets deep, nothing for them to graze during most winters.

Nice to understand how others have to deal with things.
