Subject: Do I need to upgrade my signal

Murfreesboro, Tennessee
Let me first stated that I am new to the whole GPS / auto steer/ yield monitor world, but I am trying to learn.

I use a FM 750 monitor (with the free signal) and a EZ steer to plant with this year. I know this is perhaps not the most accurate set up, but it seemed to work ok good and I am interested in building upon this system.

I noticed that my "guess rows" were too close going one direction, but were accurate on the other side. I planted with a 12 row 1200 CIH planter and figured this was due to drafting issues with the planter, but I noticed that this did not occur in every field I planted with this set up. Seems like it would be accurate on some days, and not as accurate other days, with the same side being too close, and the other side being accurate.

A local farmer advised that I need to pay to get a better signal. I know this can't hurt, do you think this could be the only cause of my inaccuracy? How does one go about purchasing a better signal?

Thanks for helping out.
