Yeah 2500$ is right int he ballpark for a CAN conversion kit and the other stuff your going to need. Most kits are 2050$ depending on the combine, then display cable at 300$ish and their were few other things. I thought our combine (JD7720) was $2600 but i could be wrong, i believe new combine kits are 3300$.
