On here I have read a few reports of the 3176 and 3126 family of engines not being Cat's best line but I have a 3126 in a tandem and a 3176 in a cat 480 and have had no issues at all. I do know that the 3126 in the tandem is not the best for cold weather starting but if plugged in has always started even in -35 c weather.
