Over the past 25 years I've had this happen to probably 2 cows and 3 replacement hfrs this way. It happens when you have a boss cow gets piss-off and comes up behind a younger cow puts her head between her legs and shoves to get to the feed. It can up end them in a hurry, I've watched this happen unloading feed. 2 times I was there to get them out. I lost a couple hfrs over the years. Mainly when I had a 2 year old in the pen for eating later on. Don't do that anymore. We now sort 2 and 3 year olds and always feed them separate from the older cows. Haven't had it happen since.
