I'm pretty sure the CFX remote engage feature is expecting a mechanical switch of some sort. The engage button on the handle of a new cab 7230 goes through a module in the armrest, which sends a CAN message to the Nav for a factory AccuGuide system. I'm not sure an Autopilot system can be engaged this way.
