Not sure there are many homesteaders these days compared to the 80s.
I still have a few Whole Earth Catalogs from that period, they were the ultimate homesteader resource before the Internet. I believe that in a way, they helped build up the Internet's social features, like the Compuserve communities.

The Dexter seem to be a great breed for poor lands. eating most of the weeds without destroying the soil structure thanks to their low weight. "Docile and inquisitive", must be tough to butcher these pets...
