I have taken my 1990 GMC pickup to the local Chevy dealer a few times for relatively minor repairs. The Chevy dealer has never used genuine GM parts on my pickup because they don't stock stuff for something "that old". The Chevy dealer is a pretty good customer of the local CarQuest jobber.
