Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot | The dealer is my last resort. I've always been that way. It is usually common stuff that breaks anyway. Lately my repairs have been an AC switch on 1086, a relay on 7420, a fan belt on a 6420 and an O ring on the 6420. Local NAPA had everything. They make hydraulic hoses and carry a lot of bearings as well. I've yet to see more than a few very specialized Ag bearings that they couldn't cross. Lot of times it is even the same brand as what is in the OEM box.
For some reason people seem to think parts are better if they come in a Deere, CNH or other OEM box. Maybe on some things, but OEM's don't make bearings, or light switches, or starters, alternators, etc. They sub it out to the cheapest bidder like everyone else. | |
