Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but the only responsibility that I have as far as "...building a good customer relationship?" with anyone (as a buyer) is to write a good check.
Dealer is usually the last place I go. JD wanted $184.00 for 2 radiator hoses for my excavator, bought them both at Auto Zone for $35.00 (for both).
