Western Oregon | Not easy to put scales on the GP drill. I bought a monitor because I thought I was going to plant lots of fescue and I was afraid of plugging up. When you plug up on 23" rows it leaves a big gap for the next five years.
And because of another problem with people still remind me of at the Amity Cafe that I don't really want to discuss right now.
The monitor gives population on 8 rows. Works excellent at low speeds and is pretty constant at high speed. Poplation reads lower at high speed. I really like it. Plus, I got a bin level alarm so it beeps at me when I'm almost out of seed.
Drill scale would have been better for just getting lbs per acre.
