The drill already had a switch box that controls the sections. The problem with that setup is that it takes the drill a few seconds and several feet to stop dropping seed on the ground once the switch is hit. We want to use the sure stop to completely stop the hex shaft from turning in overlapping areas.


This still might work. With Ag Leader's SureVacs they have you "lie" about the hitch length to get the timing right. By using a shorter hitch length that is actually correct, the system will shut off the clutches "earlier". It will also turn them on "earlier" to get the seed going. This as well as the look ahead times might allow you to use the existing clutches.

Ag Leader completes the ground to a section to complete a circuit to STOP the seed flow. Your clutch system may apply power to plant. Whether it does or not, a relay for each section triggered by the Ag Leader Clutch module would be my advice. By using a relay, the load of the clutches is not carried by the Clutch module and the ON/OFF status can be reversed if necessary.
