Subject: Precision Sampling GPS

I am currently using an old HP IPAQ with a Holux GPS receiver card to do Precision samples. How I haven't slammed it down onto some concrete is beyond me. Looses signal sometimes after every sample. It is really frustrating and I can't make any time with it. I have just started to explore some options on what to replace it with. I need something rugged with a built in antenna. I have looked at a Hemisphere but have not tried one. I am fairly familiar with Trimble units as I used the larger ones at my previous job. Are the nomad/juno's a good option? What else is out there? I normally take smart samples by soil types. (every 4-5 acres). I use Agfleet through Water's Lab.
