Cambridge, southwestern Nebraska | 1. Rented more land and got out of most custom farming. Pays much better. (Rented quite a bit of the land I used to custom farm)
2. Went to pretty much all no-till. Saves a lot of time and need for equipment and saves moisture for better yields.
3. Upgraded equipment.
4. Put up more machinery storage. Resale is better if kept inside and maintenance is less.
5. Take more time with kids and to travel so I'm recharged to take on the farm. |
