Midwest | I think the only way to get the true "smart rectangle" map is to have a whole bunch of attributes assigned so it knows how much area each dot covered. Speed, swath width, heading, distance, duration, etc are usually needed to be assigned. These points probably have a pretty good distance between each other because of the speed of travel, but without knowing the speed (and others) it doesn't know how far to spread that data.
If your file doesn't contain all those, then I don't think you'll get everything you were hoping for. | |
