Blue Grass (Eastern IA)
I put house wrap on the outside under the tin. Then 10" of dense pack cellulose in the walls. R-45 in the walls and r-60 in the ceiling. The house wrap is nessisary to stop drafts. My shop has been around 68 every morning this summer. By late afternoon on a 100 deg. Day it will only get up to 78. Love it. The cool soil under the perimeter insulated concrete is like free a/c. Insulation for my 60x72x18 was 25percent of the cost of 2 " of spray foam. I figured I could find a better way to use that $15k.
