Midwest | You normally don't have to assign lat/long for a shape file. Do you get green dots in the preview window even before the assigning screens? It should know where the points go already. Assigning would be for other attributes like speed, heading, product, elevation, etc.
I have seen some maps from planes where it makes one file for the whole day. If they fly fields in 6 different counties, you get one zoomed out map and can't see anything until you start deleting the extra. | |
