SC Iowa | normal moisture discount is 1% of contract price per half point of moisture with no shrink
right now we are running 1/2% of contract price per half point of moisture with no shrink
taking corn up to 28%, but not seeing much in the 26-28% range
have not seen totals, but looks like we dumped 110,000+ bushels of wet corn today....98% was contract corn
** what happened?? like a lot of folks we misjudged just how quickly harvest would get started, AND there has continued to be old crop corn coming to market first 10 days of Sept........
we went from 5 loads of wet corn Friday, to 50 Monday, to 110+ today
things can, and do, change quickly......
that is why we put the brakes on basis so hard.....
