Macon, IL | Nobody seemed to say boo about those 8 years I paid into crop insurance and never collected a dime. Now we have a disaster (2012) and they are all pissed off that we actually collect what was paid in for?
Yep, big payment in 2012 for sure-but I pretty much got my premimums back for several years. Hardly turning me into a "Fat Cat". If I get an insurance payment it is a guarantee that isn't a great year because I only insure 75% or 80% of my crop-it is always more financially beneficial NOT to collect on insurance for me.
So lots of false implications in the title alone. | |
