Minneota, MN | I think the Fieldscripts concept looks pretty interesting (and worthy of trying), but I have no interest in converting to a 20/20 monitor/iPad setup, etc for the planter. I asked a Fieldscripts rep for simply a prescription file exported to a Deere file format that I could use in my 2630 monitor. The rep indicated this might be in the works, but at least a year down the road.
I understand Monsanto wanting to bundle the Fieldscripts program with their monitors, etc., but the rep indicated about $9,000 to go to the 20/20/iPad setup, etc. Why would I spend $9,000 extra to replace a nearly $6,000 2630 monitor that already has the ability to do prescriptions? $3-$4 corn should fix this kinda thinking... :) | |
