| Been there done that
We had AL YM for many years and when we went from a 9560sts to the 9570sts we gave the JD2600 display a try because the sensors are standard equipment and it was the cheaper way to steer the combine.
After one harvest season I sold the 2600 and I installed an Integra. We use a 1800 display to steer the combine, so we still use 2 displays but we could get a Geosteer when we roll combines next time and eliminate the 1800
What I did was I created a Load (with the same name as the field) for each Field and then used the the numbers 1,2, etc to keep each plot separate. Problem with that is that you have to write down what each number represents. To me that was a big step backwards especially when we had an Insight in the previous combine.
The good part about the JD system is that it steers better than AL products.
We use an ATU200 on a tractor (1800, SF3000) in the spring and that is a lot better system than the Integra with Ontrac2
I have the problem with the moisture sensor as well. Not sure why that is or how to correct that. | |
