New Mexico | nieghbors that smelled the every other year dryout: 1974 dry, 1975 wet break, 1976 dry out. SE So Dak.
They planted winter wheat in the fall of 1975 and both had good crops on that 1976. 50 to 60 bu.
Course the corn in that area that year...best was 60 bu. Most though did not make 20 bu.
Course there was not crop insurance then like the risk price yield programs now.
soooo...... to farm gross revenue might be best to go with corn and the govt covers it anyway.
Granted any different idea is likely to get slammed pretty hard by the "one trick poney" experts. | |
