I use a JD 1560 drill. Sold my Brillion seeder, some of the ground I farm is too sandy and the loose sand would pile up in front of it.

Te 3/4 to 1" depth is different than I have always been told. I have heard 1/2" to 5/8" and planting 1" was too deep. If an inch works, I would go that route but I've always been hesitant to go too deep.

I plant pure alfalfa about 16 lbs/A. The last few years I have been putting grass with it.
