I set the implement configuration for actual swath width. E.G. my "60 foot" spra coupe is actually 61.667ft width, and that's what gets entered in the programming.
I set my guidance width to 60 feet. That means my lightbar/guidance lines are striving to achieve 20 inches of overlap. For me, and the way I drive the planter, this has been sufficient to eliminate virtually all skips from driving swaths too wide.
