We had a 10' spread with a 20 alu bed on it for a few years. Was hard on everything turning. Yes, you could back it up but that was the only good part. Never seen a hopper bottom that wasn't steerable.
Best thing we ever did was sell it and go to a regular fifth wheel and Timpte hopper.
