You can control dump height, when making a terrace you just raise the height to desired level. It sounds like you would need to have a different section line for your use.


I've only had two days experience so for what it's worth, WM Drain is very user friendly and is what I used to fix terraces. You would use it to make a drainage plan in the tractor from point A to point B.


Field Level II would be used to get a topo of an area ( 40 acre field) and then use Surface software to design a plan for the whole field or a problem area of that field in the office. I tried Field Level for a couple hours on the second day but did not have enough experience to use it properly and ran out of time.
