Subject: simple, cheap hydraulic drive controller?

I'm trying to build a broadcast seeder that I want to regulate the flow of seed according to ground speed (via a hydraulic drive auger). I can envision a high torque low speed motor with a pwm valve but how can I tie it to ground speed? I'll be using an ez guide 500 but I don't have field IQ unlocked. The only objective here is to regulate a constant rate per acre according to ground speed; no vra ever intended. What is the simplest/cheapest route? Thanks.
