lol..  no doubt getting my rally.. Guess I'll go along with Ray J and (a)maizing that the basis will do the work.. and probably come in a little on this rally.. (that's one way of solving this..)  DTN says we were at $6.02 +1.06 for the National average Corn price on Friday pm..


The Sept chart opened a gap this morning.. and has a chart objective of $5.63.. then a gap up around $5.83 to $5.92.. those seem like reasonable objectives..  That would put the Dec..up into the gap around $5.50'ish


Again I'm not some charting guru.. never totally understood it all.. but useful in the short-term..


Fundamentally we need to hold the corn crop at 13.1 byn bushels.. this late heat is "probablly" gonna test that out...???  COME ON BABY.. HOLD THAT TIGER!!  Harvest is still a couple weeks off.. so.. we may see $6.00 cash bids hold for awhile longer.. (certainly today ;-) possibly another 3 to 4 weeks on the nearby's.. The Sept board going off.. that will certainly be interesting.


Anywho.. back to fighting pivots..              


edit add: just to clarify on my crop size comment.. we need to raise At LEAST a 13.1 byn bu crop.. we've got at least a 12.8 demand and we need a little carry.. If we start falling below 13.. then it's katie bar the door time..  THAT would take a lot of damage.. sure we are frying some here at the end.. but we're also gaining some ahead or a freeze.. 14.1 was a pipe dream.. 13.8 before the PP numbers.. 13.5'ish after.. plus whatever we have lost in potential since then.. 200..300...400.. myn bushels..??  HOPEFULLY that halts the slide...???


not sure if that clears it up anymore.. but when USDA starts printing the REAL numbers the markets will react again.. this is where I BELIEVE the crop size is.. but's it's pretty tough for me to accurately gauge from behind the monitor here.. but "feels" about right.  Still got an inning or two left in this nail biter..  been a good game.  One to tell the Grandkids..
