| Where you are located Diesel I would agree with you and probably you've seen success with it. Move further West and the rains taper off. Seems like every year that there is enough rain in Central KS to grow something at wheat harvest, guys move to the high limits room and take a gamble by double cropping beans. The seed salesmen love it because they're selling out their inventory that would normally hit the elevator for a dump. The results however are spiratic and I would say not worth the money invested for the return (in most years).
However, with that being said, $12 and up beans make 10 bu/ac double crop beans easier to swallow. I just was questioning the OP about which beans he was referring to. Beans planted on time or double crop beans. | |
