Weaver's silo guys have a "power trowel" machine that pumps the mortar onto/through a trowel. They do some hand troweling as well, but the power trowel gets it on the power washed wall.

If you do replaster one, don't stop before you cover the spot about 10-15' down where the top of the settled silage ends up every year. That place seems to get more damage because of the spoilage there. The top of the silo above that point gets hardly any damage because the silage settles down past it within a few weeks.
