Subject: fire suppresion

with this years big hay crop had to put some big squares in a barn that we go in and out of with tractor and mixer wagon.closest bales are about 20ft. away.concerned about an exhaust particle igniting the hay.would spreading some baking soda on top suppress a starting fire?going to put a 90 elbow on tractor exhaust pointing away from hay.any thing else i could do? tia
