We are just S of 70 along Illinois 1... our corn crops are shaping up to be well above average, looking like 10 to even 20% above trendline; while also one of the wettest in recent years.
We are by no means a yield, or acre, powerhouse area, but the corn yields are looking optomistic.
Soybeans on the other hand look FANTASTIC until you pull a plant and look at the number of pods they are/have set. Unless each bean ends up the size of a marble, I think many in our area are going to be harvesting well under their anticipated yields...
