SE IA | Taking their yield numbers and using usda's acres. they have an extra 378 million bushel of corn over what the usda has stated. The only thing they haven't taken into account is yields from other states like TN, KY, WI, MI, PA, MO, ND, KN.
So if you take the usda's August report of 13.763 billion bushel, and if the PFT is correct, they should come up with a 14.114 Billion bushel crop. and if you use USDA's harvest acres, PFT should come up with a yield of 158.34 bushels/Acre if they believe what they say and use USDA's harvest acres.
They are closer to USDA than I thought they were going to be, but I predict that USDA will lower yield next report. This heat is going to take a toll on this crop. And many guys still debate the USDA's harvested acres number. | |
