I see the tour stopped in a field in Winneshiek county in Iowa. A field planted June 3 had 235.86 bu. an acre potential according to them. Aug. 22 and its still in the blister stage. I about fell out of my chair laughing reading that one. I don't know what the right number is but I can assure it has 0 percent chance of hitting that number and yet that's the number they use. You can't make this stuff up.
Its all about potential at this stage in the game, no where to go but down on yield from here, I think next year I'll wait till it rains in June and mud it in if it turns out that good!! |
