I think you'll find the real to be somewhat seasonal over further history ( which perhaps you'll research further, LOL ).
Generally the real is highest in the spring ( usa spring ) when br has beans to sell.
Not in the usa late summer / fall when the usa has beans to sell and br's are long gone.
keep in mind BR runs Very HIGH positive foreign currency reserves due to their bean sales which increases their currency value "in season."
