Do you really think the numbers would come out any different? I don't care if you're talking Iowa or Minnesota, Spin it any way you want. It is so uneven out there you just can't make an educated guess on an average. It doesn't matter if you're talking five miles apart or in the same field, it's that uneven like we really have never seen before, ever.
I can make a case for 240 bushel potential in my own field and walk 200 feet in one direction and find a drowned out spot, a zero; then walk 200 feet in the other direction and find knee high corn that's brown. So what does that make my average? Any takers out there. In this back yard at least, NO one has ever seen such variability in crop conditions in their lifetimes.

Oh well, at least our silks are turning brown now inside the fields. They have been brown on the outsides for two weeks now. Yeah! At least we're making progress towards that 240 bushel yield goal.
