Nebraska aka the boondocks
We had a 4+inch rain august the first. We had around a total of 4 inches the entire rest of the year, with no subsoil. We are hand to mouth. another year of full bore irrigation. The 4 inch rain did nothing for anything that was burned, even the dormant alfalfa is still dormant. We will go into next year in the same boat as this here, unless we somehow pick up 30+ inches of snow. I think next week is gonna cause a lot of long faces. Frankly I don't want anymore rain this year, because every dang storm has 70mph winds and at least quarter size hail, it is getting ridiculous. Can't a guy get a rain anymore without having to run for your life?
