Subject: I'm sure your aware of this also

Red River Valley
Maizeing the majority of the Inputs for farms in SA are bought using "Green Bean" Contracts - a contract that trades x number of beans for x amount of inputs.

Can there be some negative ramifications tied to a devaluing BR Yes

I would ask you to tell me in the past what has happened to Soybean production in Brazil ( acres in production ) when the Real gets into the 2.5 to 3.0 area ??

Your Stronger Real in the new year effect Matters not to what will be planted in Sept , Oct, and Nov. 1st crop corn and full season Beans

Might matter to safrinia Corn but If it waits until Jan. -Feb. to strengthen it will be to late - my guess is unless it happens very quickly IE by late Oct. it will not stop their next season safrinia corn

I think the article is showing which way the Brazilian Farmer is leaning and it is the same way that US rents and land values are showing the US farmer is leaning -- Full production
