Buxton ND | Crude seems kinda weak,,,OI has flat lined,,,Dow weak,S&P weak. Crude does not seem to like Bomber Ben's wording on QE or do the big boy traders know something we do not ? ? ?
Interest rates are on the rise.,,,higher interest rates can the American customer afford $3.50-$4.00 gas ?
QE tapering,IMO get ride of the dam thing its mostly ending up in the pockets of big oil. Higher corn, lower crude is not a good combo.
Dollar looks strong after what seems to be a double bottom.
REAL WEAK, a weak REAL/strong dollar makes it really hard to compete against Brazil's beans,,,,,,,,,,,, plus their selling new crop all ready,,,,,,,, I will bet 232's and MW's left one on it ! ! ! If we the American Producers are not willing to sell, SA seems like they are, plus Ocean fright rates are still very cheap...................
Scanned though some post below and found this
"Sat......The market system works......we have never run out of grain is modern history.......High prices limit demand, low prices raises demand......You can find it in Supply and demand 101 first page, first paragraph, first sentence......"
Last fall I think we needed a Econ 101 sell or set up the auger, followed by Econ 201 locking the bin doors too long. Seems easy to see now but not that easy last fall. Maybe a copy paste and print of these last 2 paragraphs may help some welling to learn in the up coming years market their grains better.
Bought in some help and should be done with wheat tomorrow if something else doesn't fly apart. Yields pretty/very good for later planting, protein .50/.75 points under last years, test weights are like WOW 63.5 to 65.5 dont think that I've ever had 65 pound wheat in the dirt before. MPL
Any yields in this area are pretty good.
Radar,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,looks like one of those nights to set the alarm for 3am and take a peek,re-hedged some corn this evening. | |
