New crop corn (Dec) has retraced almost half of it's last fall (528 - 446) - It's going to take some special "energy" or event to make it break higher. The news from ProFarmer Tour and USDA, does NOT bring the energy or events to move corn higher . . . .
I doubt a average FREEZE on its normal date would be enough of an event to move corn higher . . ...
I'm not sure if it Froze Sept 1st though out the corn belt, if that would have much effect, with the current yeild projections and Bear sentiments ~
