I just feel your argument holds water, if all the positive weather events yet to be shed on this crop come to pass.
Looking at my own backyard, I doubt if my corn yields are any better than last year's drought yields. The ground is a thirsty where it didn't get drowned out this spring. And soys are short and late too., But I know my backyard doesn't count.
