Subject: 144 bu nat. yield

Arlan Suderman reports a firm using satellite data and ground truth is predicting 144 bu yield on 96m plated. 12.6b total production. I think they are being very optimistic with an 87.5m harvested area. Was somewhere along the lines of 87m myself.

I think the truth will eventually come out about the dry areas from Indiana, N Illinois, North MO, Iowa, MN. What confuses the bears is there is not pockets of dryness but pockets of moisture and green on the radar that amounts to nothing. The rains have been hit and miss and the cool weather is masking the moisture deficit. Our crops look great from the road but tip back is evident and we are denting with shallow kernels. Corn feels like rubber when you walk through the canopy.
