MN | I do this exact thing. They get a ration of 80% cracked corn (run through an old Lorenz grinder/mixer with the ear corn screen in and the 4020 running at about 1500 rpm, so as to ***try*** and reduce the fines/powder) and 10% DDGS and 10% LOL IM coproduct balancer. And free choice corn stalks and whatever ditch hay I make.
It works ok.
This fall I will be switching over to earlage + hmsc TMR for most of them. | |
