near dyersville iowa | powershift/powerquad really isnt that big of deal. But there is a difference between a quad range in a 4430 and a powerquad in a 7000 or 6000 series deere. Quad ranges are reliable, just have to use the clutch more often, you only powershift between 1-2 and 3-4 in any given range. Power quads have a powershift between gears 1-4 in any given range. I run a ford 7710..non synchro trans makes it a little more difficult to drive, its like driving an old truck, trying to get revs and speed right to not grind gears, but they are good little tractors if they have been taken care of. | |
