east central MO | This is definitely potash deficience symptoms. Now what I have found in my neck of the woods though is that it is more due to the plant unable to pick up enough potash when it needs it. When I go out and dig up roots in these spots I usually find something like compaction, sand, or water ponding has made the plants not root like they should and they can't get enough potash to meet the plant needs. This is really hard to fix in-crop but can be prevented in following years. | |
