Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow
Yes, that's the plan, sold 30% ahead of the price slide for operating money, have storage for most of it and have located and lined up long time unused storage for three times my whole crop. Iam actuallythinking about buying up some local production myself.

The fact is Sat if the price starts to get mean in the fall farmers have options but that still just puts the price problem back a few months, long enough for the USDA to report 2014 planting intentions. And when March planting intentions drop to 80 million acres the endusers will get nervous. I have been thinking about this, In about 2004 I actually plowed fallow ground with corn stalks from the late '80's. Many of these fringe acres can come out of production pretty darn fast, the land rents here arn't anywhere near what the Midwest is paying. I could actually pay rent on land a couple of years without growing anything or fallow my farm and farm the rented land.
A few weeks ago someone ?? (my apologies) was talking about "angry money", it was well worth noting. Well farmers can get stubborn too, darn stubborn, especially when they think someone's trying to take advantage of them.
