You said that.. "The Basis will follow the spreads."

Well.. looks like Sept - Dec came in a little over $.08 on Friday alone.  Plus looking at your basis chart listed below..



It looks like "that year" the basis put in a spike low.. then rallied from that point.

My question now is.. "Where are we today?"

Old crop corn basis here is still running... (for those that are still in it..) $1.50'ish to $1.75'ish.. or $1.62'ish to $1.87'ish the Z.  That range has narrowed in from the $1.20 to $2.00 vs the U that I posted earlier.. but still.. "pretty stout."

Gulf basis has weakened some at $.80 to $1.10

Certainly the market is working hard to REMOVE HRW Wheat from the Feed bunk as Cash Corn is about $.75 cheaper (if you can find any..) than wheat out in Feedlot country..  And we're starting to see more Nebraska grain trailers running down the roads.

So what is your bid structure looking like?  How much more old crop bushels do you believe there are to poke loose yet..

Still got a long time to go before the start of harvest here.. 3 to 4 weeks or thereabouts..Really 6 to 7 before any serious bushels come.
