PP ground tends to not work well the following spring, still requires multiple trips to beat the weeds down (and it's awfully depressing sitting in that tractor running a disk or batwing over what should have been nice crops), the idea of nitrogen buildup unless you put a legume cover crop in is BS, and is just generally not the financial home run you seem to think it is. Your other points about wet corn and mud and trucking are valid. And people with GRIP insurance found out they don't have PP coverage.
