That's a cool comment, like that. Thanks, Rank.
There are a lot of little bit far out there organic type folk, they tend to be out there and want to influence a whole lot of other folk, not always in a positive direction. That is what this thread is about, those sort of folk.
Nice of you to make the comments you did, puts you in a much better light, you seem to see the reality. Nothing at all wrong with organic, just kinda have some trouble with the few that are so vocal and a little bit far out there......
I've seen a lot of good folk on here that are organic growers or consumers, and that is all good, lot of room for that in this world.

Thanks Paul. That's really the only message that I was trying to get out there....being a certified organic producer doesn't automatically make everyone an activist kook. I grew up on a dairy farm in the 70's. I've sprayed lots of chemicals on corn and injected lots of cows with clorencetin, triamiacin etc (sp) and I sleep fine at night. (I do feel a little bit bad about father keeping the heifers in ties stalls all winter long tho...poor things could hardly walk come spring and that certainly would not pass the organic litmus test today. In many cases, organics is a way for a smaller family operation to remain in business and that' ok with me. |
