| boy this sure is generating a lot of responses. I have a story for you. people who buy organic should be careful of what they are paying for. a gentleman took over a retired dairy in our area. he was able to get it certified organic. that's fine, I don't really care, but two years ago, the alfalfa from a field he is feeding them was sprayed with insecticide, and he buys silage corn from a local farmer that is not organic. so my simple mind tells me he is no more organic than the next guy. he bought the silage because his cows were starving eating the organic corn he was feeding them. no one is checking out anything on him, yet he gets twice the price for his milk as a normal dairy. it is just wrong on so many levels.
